Our VeterinariansDr. Rhett Mortenson
|
Dr. Mortenson Graduated from Massey University, New Zealand in 2006. During his studies he also undertook study in parasitology, working towards a Bachelor of Philosophy in Veterinary Medicine in addition to his Veterinary Degree. Dr. Mortenson's interests include laser surgery and laser therapy as well as general medicine and surgery. After spending 7 years in New Zealand he returned to British Columbia to be close to his extended family. Dr. Mortenson has two children. They have four dogs and a cat.
Dr. Mortenson's sound principles and passion for veterinary medicine upholds the veterinarian oath to "use his scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health, the relief of animal suffering, the conservation of animal resources, the promotion of public health, and the advancement of medical knowledge."

Dr. Tyler Stitt
Dr. Stitt graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with Honors in Biology in 2001, after which he obtained a Masters in Public Health and Tropical Medicine (MPH&TM) from James Cook University in Townsville, Australia in 2004. He then earned is Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Since his graduation he has worked as an equine and small animal veterinarian in Nanaimo BC. Dr. Stitt also has a background in public health and concurrently works for the Center of Coastal Health. He resides with his wife and daughter in Nainamo BC.
